Wednesday afternoon, September 14th at 3:10 p.m., Peru Police Department responded to an accident at the corner of State Road 19 and Broadway. Roderick E. White of Peru, driving a 2004 Infiniti FX35 UT, was southbound on Broadway approaching the intersection of Broadway and Main when Mr. White failed to stop at the Red Light, colliding with the rear bumper of Warren Long of Peru, who was driving a 2009 Chevrolet Malibu LT. Mr. Long’s vehicle sustained minor damage to the rear, while Mr. White’s vehicle sustained minor damage to the front bumper. Mr. White was arrested for OWI and driving while suspended. No Injuries were reported.
