Peggy A. Smith, 90, of Peru passed away at IU Health West Hospital on Tuesday, February 6, 2024.
She was born in Rochester, Indiana on August 21, 1933 to the late Robert and Sylvia (Hoover) Flohr.
Peggy married Richard E. Smith in 1954 and he preceded her in death in 2018. She worked in the bindery at Kelvie Press in Kokomo, Indiana.
She is survived by her children; Melvin (Jill) Smith and Kay (Moe) Stevens, grandchildren; Kris (Justin) Hiers, Alan (Shanon) Smith, Kyle (Ashley) Smith, Christopher (Angelyn) Smith, Jessie Stevens, Nikki (David) Manchester, Jacob Stevens, and great grandchildren; Kellen Hiers, Evelyn Smith, Violet Smith, Quinn Smith, Reese Smith, Ryder Smith, Aiden Smith, and Cole Manchester.
Peggy is preceded in death by her daughter, Barb Lowe, son-in-law, Carl Lowe, and siblings; John Flohr, Larry Flohr, and June Hileman.
Visitation will be held from 9am to 11am on Friday, February 9, 2024 at Flowers-Leedy Funeral Home, 105 West Third Street, Peru, Indiana. The funeral service will follow at 11am with Tom Harp officiating. Interment will take place at Mount Hope Cemetery in Peru, Indiana.
