Pauline Stewart

Pauline Stewart, 87, passed away in Wesleyan Health Care on April 13, 2018. She was born in Harrisburg, Arkansas to the late Joe and Virgie Mae (Hall) Costner on October 13, 1930.

On December 21, 1946, she married Virgil Stewart. He preceded her in death in 1978. Pauline worked as a waitress for twenty years at Rosie’s Little Italy. She attended Hanfield United Methodist Church. In her spare time she enjoyed cooking, listening to country and western music, going to rummage sales and fishing. She also enjoyed a great cup of coffee. Pauline liked being able to watch her great granddaughters in their sporting activities.

She is survived by her son, Donald G. Stewart, Marion; brother, Jerry W. (Barbara) Costner, Fairmount; sister, Betty Jo (Kenneth) Rickett, Marion; grandchildren, Ronald D. Stewart, Jr., Fairmount; Travis B. Stewart, Gas City; Michael G. Stewart and Virgil Stewart, both in Indiana; numerous great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild.

She is also preceded in death by her son, Ronald D. Stewart; brother, Joe Costner, Jr.; sisters, Margaret (Bill) Inman, Geneva Sinclair and Mary E. Mullen.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 17, 2018 from 4-7 pm in Owen-Weilert-Duncan Funeral Home, Marion Chapel, 2722 South Washington Street, Marion, Indiana. The funeral service will be on Wednesday, April 18, 2018 at 11:00 am with Dr. Thomas Mansbarger officiating. Burial will immediately follow in Grant Memorial Park, Marion, Indiana.
