Paul Scalf, age 66, of Huntington, passed away Wednesday, May 23, 2018 at 1:00 am at his home. He worked as a mechanic and farmer all his life and loved helping others.
Paul was born March 27, 1952, in Clay County, KY, the son of James & Susie (Simpson) Scalf. On August 3, 1973 he married his beloved wife of 44 years Kathleen A. Prough in Roanoke and she survives in Huntington. Also surviving are 2 children Paul E. (Jennifer) Scalf of Huntington and Sarah E (Michael) Brown of Huntington, 6 grandchildren Caleb (Caitlyn) Mauger, Mason Brown, Valora Brown, Jacob Scalf, Carly Brown and Emma Scalf, and 9 siblings Edith Jeffrey of Manchester, KY, Lina Abernathy, Nora Hershey and Patty Bishop all of Troy, OH, Edna Robinson and Freddy Scalf of London, KY, James E. Scalf and Doris Curry of Huntington, and Flora Hacker of Hillsdale, MI. He was preceded by his parents and 7 siblings Bernice Hoskins, Mary Katherine, Boyd Scalf, Billy Scalf, Hershel Scalf, Murrel Scalf, and Alonzo Simpson.
There will be no visitation or services.
