Paul P. Kline Jr.

Paul P. Kline Jr., age 85, of Huntington, died at 5:00 p.m. Friday, October 12, 2018 at Heritage Pointe of Huntington.

Visitation will be from 3 – 7 p.m. Tuesday, October 16, 2018 at Bailey-Love Mortuary, 35 West Park Drive, Huntington, Indiana; a rosary service will be held at the end of visitation at 6:30 p.m. at Bailey-Love Mortuary. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, October 17, 2018 at St. Mary Catholic Church, 903 North Jefferson Street, Huntington, with Father Steve Colchin officiating. There will be one hour of visitation at the church prior to the service. Burial will be in Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Huntington with military graveside rites performed by VFW Post #2689 of Huntington.

Preferred memorials are to St. Mary Catholic Church, in care of Bailey-Love Mortuary, 35 West Park Drive, Huntington, Indiana, 46750.

Paul was born on April 29, 1933 in Huntington, the son of Paul P. and Leona (Schmitt) Kline Sr. He graduated from Huntington Catholic High School in 1951 and served in the United States Army as a Private First Class during the Korean War. He married Ruth Agnes Bir on April 28, 1956 in Huntington; she preceded him in death on September 27, 2001. Paul retired from Our Sunday Visitor in Huntington after 45 years of service in envelope manufacturing. He was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church and a 2nd Degree Knight with Knights of Columbus. He was also a member of VFW Post #2689 in Huntington and was an avid New York Yankees and Purdue fan. He liked riding his bicycle, boating, and skiing, and he loved spending time with his grandchildren.

Survivors include sons Thomas A. Kline of Noblesville, Michael J. (Jaima) Kline of Huntington, and John P. (Casey) Kline of Fishers, daughters Suzanne M. (Richard) Emley, Christine A. (Dan) Meadows, Mary J. (Jim) Wilson, and Barbara S. (Doug) Steineman, all of Huntington, Anne F. (Peter) Eckert of Roanoke, Marie D. (Jeff) Hammel of Andrews, and Paula L. (Joe) Weill of Huntington, a sister, Kathleen M. (Lee) Rinehart of Huntington, 20 grandchildren, and 18 great grandchildren. His parents and wife precede him in death.
