Gloria Mae Holley

Gloria Mae Holley, age 86, of Huntington, died at 1:25 p.m. Friday, October 12, 2018 at Miller’s Merry Manor in Huntington.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. – 12 p.m. Thursday, October 18, 2018 at Bailey-Love Mortuary, 35 West Park Drive, Huntington, Indiana. Funeral services will immediately follow at 12 p.m. Thursday at Bailey-Love Mortuary with Pastor Timothy Troyer officiating. Burial will be in Gardens of Memory in Huntington County.

Preferred memorials are to Huntington Church of the Brethren, in care of Bailey-Love Mortuary, 35 West Park Drive, Huntington, Indiana, 46750.

Gloria was born on September 2, 1932 in Huntington, the daughter of George and Esther (Kramer) Humphrey. She graduated from Huntington High School in 1950 and married Raymond Dale Holley on September 2, 1950 in Huntington; he preceded her in death on May 19, 1995. Gloria attended business college in Fort Wayne and worked for over ten years as a merchandising assistant at JCPenney in Huntington, from where she retired. She was a lifetime member of Huntington Church of the Brethren. She loved playing cards and doing needle point to keep her mind sharp. She also was an avid reader, and most of all, loved spending time with her family.

Survivors include a son, Dale A. (Karen) Holley of Huntington, daughters Debra (Steven) Trainer, Lisa M. Holley of Huntington, Laura (Steve) Summers of Warren, and a brother, G. Wayne (Shirley) Humphrey of Huntington. Also surviving are nine grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. Her parents and her husband precede her in death.
