Paul C. Witt, 85, Marion, went to be with the Lord at 10:45 am on Monday, March 21, 2022, at Wesleyan Health Care & Rehabilitation Center in Marion. He was born in Grassy Lick, Kentucky, on Sunday, August 16, 1936, to Stanley and Cora (Willoughby) Witt. On October 5, 1953, he married Loretta Shrout, and she survives.
Paul was a machine operator with Gen Corp, and he retired after 42 years of service. He was a dedicated member of Lakeview Wesleyan Church, where he served as an usher for several years. Paul enjoyed fishing, traveling, camping, and gardening. He also liked going to flea markets and garage sales. More than anything, Paul loved spending time with his family.
Survivors include his wife, Loretta Witt of Marion; daughter, Kim (Richard) Monroe of Marion; sons, Kris (Tammy) Witt of Marion and Kevin (Angie) Witt of Converse; grandsons, Richard, Eric, and Wesley; granddaughters, Valarie, Christian, Amanda, Brittnie, Kayla, and Sierra; 14 great-grandchildren; brother, Bradley (Judy) Witt of KY; sister, Peggy Dodson of KY; several nieces, nephews, and friends; and his beloved dogs, Dino and Isabella.
He was preceded in death by his father, Stanley Witt; mother, Cora Witt; and beloved dog, Jock.
The family will receive visitors from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm on Friday, March 25, 2022, at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral Service, North Chapel, 1341 N. Baldwin Ave., Marion, IN.
Immediately following the time of visitation, a service to celebrate Paul’s life will begin at 1:00 pm. Pastor Jim Sonnefield will be officiating with burial taking place at Grant Memorial Park.
