Paul Arthur Stewart, 75, Jonesboro, passed away at 4:16 am on Saturday, November 25, 2023, at Lutheran Hospital of Indiana in Fort Wayne. He was born in Marion, Indiana, on Sunday, April 4, 1948, to Floyd and Lois (Crosby) Stewart. On May 12, 1973, he married Sheila Caldwell, and she survives.
Paul graduated from Mississinewa High School in 1966 and was a salesperson with Southworth Ford, Barry Bunker Chevrolet, and Dillman Furniture throughout his career. He enjoyed golfing, bowling, photography, and listening to music, especially his son’s band. He was very interested in history, particularly WWII. More than anything, Paul loved making others laugh. He was a gentle man who will be missed by many.
In addition to his loving wife, survivors include his daughter, Natalie Stewart of West Lafayette; son, Kyle Stewart of Indianapolis; sisters, Roseanne Walters of Marion and Anna Stewart of Gas City; mother-in-law, Barbara (late Arthur) Caldwell; sisters-in-law, Becky Stewart of Marion and Carol (Phil) Spitler of Kokomo; special nephew, Steve (Dana) Adamson; and several additional nieces, nephews, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Michael Stewart.
The family will receive visitors from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Tuesday, November 28, 2023, at St. Paul Catholic Church, 1031 W. Kem Rd., Marion, IN.
A funeral mass to celebrate Paul’s life will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, November 29, 2023, at St. Paul Catholic Church. Father Ted Rothrock will be officiating with burial following at Grant Memorial Park.
