Patricia Louise “Pat” Wake, 79, North Manchester, Indiana, passed away February 8, 2021 at her home. Born in Clinton, Indiana, on July 14, 1941, Pat was the daughter of the late Ithal and Lillie (Carnahan) Wilson.
After graduating from Clinton High School in 1959, Pat went on to attend Indiana State University. Pat began working for Indiana Lawrence Bank in North Manchester in the late 1970s, where she continued working for fifteen years as head teller. After leaving that role, Pat began working as the Apartment Manager at Jamestown Apartments for more than twenty years.
During her many years in North Manchester, Pat made a good, simple life for herself and her son Brian. She enjoyed spending time with friends, especially eating at The Inn on Friday nights and playing cards on Saturday nights. She and her longtime companion, Adolph Kubon Jr., always relished in their time spent fishing. Pat spent many hours in her flower garden, always planting new flowers and trees. One of her favorite things to do was to get in the car and just go for a drive. Most of all, though, she loved being with her grandson Connor. Pat had strong religious beliefs and knew where she was going when she died. Those lucky enough to know Pat will always remember how sweet and companionate she was when it came to the needs of others.
The loving memory of Patricia “Pat” Wake will be forever cherished by her son, Brian (Heather) Wake, Warsaw, Indiana; grandson, Connor Wake, North Manchester, Indiana; sister, Shirley Hansell, Lakeland, Florida; and many friends. Pat was preceded in death by her parents; companion, Adolph Kubon Jr.; brother, Glen Wilson; and sisters, Effie Spurr and Juanita Wilson.
Family and friends may call Friday, February 12, 2021 from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at McKee Mortuary, 1401 State Road 114 West, North Manchester, Indiana. A celebration of Pat Wake’s life will begin at the conclusion of calling. Pastor J.P. Freeman will officiate.
