Pamela J. Evans, 72, Marion, passed away at 6:20 a.m. on Sunday, September 30, 2018, at Wesleyan Healthcare Center in Marion. She was born in Marion on August 25, 1946, to the late Ralph and Dortha M. (Michael) Hussong.
Pamela graduated from Marion High School and worked for 15 years in housekeeping at Marion General Hospital. She loved watching television, especially Law and Order, and she loved animals. She was actually crazy about animals! Pamela attended Sunnycrest Baptist Church.
She is survived by her son, Hayward Evans, Marion; daughter Rebecca Evans, Virginia; grandchildren, Josh Evans, Lisa Pool, Liberty Evans, and Prestynn Evans; great-grandchildren, Elyn Evans and Kallie Evans; nieces, Kim (Karen) Bates and Christi Stargel; nephews, David Kaufman, Jeff Sollars, and Greg Sollars; brother-in-law, Ronald Sollars; and former husband, Roy Evans.
Also preceding her in death were her sisters, Judith Sollars and Nicci Kaufman, and two daughters, Pamela Evans and Stacy Evans.
The family will receive visitors from 12 noon to 1 p.m. with Pamela’s funeral service beginning at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, October 3, 2018, at Integrity Funeral Care, 2901 S. Washington St., Marion, IN. Pastor Mick Simpkins will be officiating with burial following at Grant Memorial Park.
