Oleta Mae “Lee” Morrison, 83, Marion, passed away on Sunday, November 14, 2021, at Marion General Hospital. She was born in Starks, Arkansas, on October 22, 1938, to Kenneth and Katie (Birdsong) Bailey.
Oleta graduated from Westside High School in Greers Ferry, Arkansas. On May 27, 1983, she married the love of her life, Duane Morrison, and they were married 38 years. Oleta worked as a delivery person for a dry cleaning company, where she would pick up and deliver dry cleaning. She really enjoyed her dry cleaning route. Oleta will be remembered as a fine woman. She loved all animals, especially horses, and enjoyed showing them. She attended and was active at Friendship Baptist Church, where she also served as a Sunday school teacher.
Survivors include her husband, Duane Morrison of Marion; children, Gary (Casey) Morrison, Susan (Randy) Llyon, Jarrod (Kelly) Morrison, and Stacey Morrison; sister, Kathy Schroder; grandchildren, Aaron, Charlotte, Brandon, and Lora; and two great-grandchildren, Quinn and Gabrielle.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two twin grandchildren.
The family will receive visitors from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm on Thursday, November 18, 2021, at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral Service, North Chapel, 1341 N. Baldwin Ave., Marion, IN.
Immediately following the time of visitation, a service to celebrate Oleta’s life will begin at 1:00 pm with Pastor Bruce Koontz officiating. Burial will take place at Grant Memorial Park.
