Obera Lee Brandenburg

Obera Lee Brandenburg, 72, of Fishers, Indiana, died of natural causes on May 28, 2018.  He was born August 7, 1945, at Marion General Hospital.

Obera (Obe) lived most of his life in the Gas City/Jonesboro, Indiana area.  Obe worked for Central Indiana Gas Company for 32 years, and prior to retiring, he worked in the maintenance department at Ball Memorial, Community North, and Clarian North Hospitals.

Obe is survived by his wife, Susan, Fishers; daughters, Tamie Brandenburg, Marion, and Trisha Stuttle, Gas City; son, Jeff (Angie) Brandenburg, Newnan, GA; two step-sons, Jeffrey Love, Fishers, and Scott (Carly) Love, Odessa, FL; step-daughter, Kimberly Lytle, Sheridan; two sisters, Linda (Larry) Grosswiler, Marion, and Betty Oliver, Huntington, NY; thirteen grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Obe is preceded in death by his parents, Obra and Agnes Brandenburg, and brother, Donnie Lee.

Obe was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend to all.  Obe never met a stranger and you would see him waving at everyone.  His passions were trucks, especially older models.  He was the type of guy that if you needed help, he was there any day or time.  It seemed like he could fix and work on anything.  He will be missed by family and friends.

There will be a time of gathering at Armes-Hunt Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 415 S. Main St., Fairmount, Indiana 46928, on Saturday, June 2, 2018, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.  A graveside service will follow at Park Cemetery in Fairmount.
