O.J. Neighbours Re-enactment Coming Up Next Week

WABASH – O. J. Neighbours will hold their 28th annual re-enactment on Thursday, September 15th from 5:30 – 7:00pm in the David Sodervick Outdoor Learning Area located at the south end of the building. Kindergarten students will be reenacting pioneer songs and dances. First grade students will reenact pioneer games. Second grade students will demonstrate Native American dances and blessings. Third grade students will explain about Native American life. They will explain about living in the wiki up, cedar longhouse, canvas longhouse, tipi and hogan. Fourth grade students will demonstrate pioneer occupations and crafts, such as hunting, rope making, sewing and butter making. The event is free, but donations will be gladly accepted, as they help fund all future reenactments. In case of rain, the reenactment will be postponed until Tuesday, September 20th.
