Norma Jean Landis

Norma Jean Landis, 90, Marion, passed away at 9:36 am on Tuesday, December 29, 2020, at Miller’s Merry Manor in Marion. She was born in Chicago, Illinois, on Thursday, February 13, 1930, to Charles and Leatha (Toler) Marshall. On March 17, 1956, she married Dale Myron Landis, and he preceded her in death.

Norma worked 28 years at the Chronicle-Tribune, where she was a night clerk. She retired in 1991. She liked crafting and reading books by the dozen. More than anything, though, she loved her grandchildren and spending time with them.

Survivors include her daughter, Lezlie (James) Cousins of Marion; son, Charles Landis of Marion; and grandsons, Kevin Cousins of Marion and Kyle Cousins of Marion.

She was also preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Beulah Briggs.

The family will receive visitors from 10:00 am to 11:00 am on Monday, January 4, 2021, at Grant Memorial Park Mausoleum Chapel, 1626 W. 26th St., Marion, IN.

Immediately following the time of visitation, a service to celebrate Norma’s life will begin at 11:00 am. Pastor Mick Simpkins will be officiating with burial taking place at Grant Memorial Park.

Arrangements are entrusted to Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral Service, North Chapel, 1341 N. Baldwin Ave., Marion, IN.
