Norma “Jean” Aspy

Norma “Jean” Aspy, 92, Bryant, IN passed away on Monday, September 3rd, 2018, at Albany Healthcare in Albany, IN.  She was born on May 24th, 1926 to Richard L. and Jessie N. Fields in Wells County, IN.  She married Frederick Wayne Aspy on November 24th, 1946 in Adams County, IN.

 

She attended New Corydon Methodist Church and High Street United Methodist Church. She was a long-time member of the Bryant Senior Citizen Organization and the Tri-State Tractor and Engine Association. Jean enjoyed corresponding to family and friends.

 

Loving survivors include: Son – Jack (Wife Susie) Aspy, Fremont, NE, Son – Larry Aspy, Jay County, IN, Son – Allen Aspy, Cable, OH, Daughter – Connie (Husband Tom) Grover, Bluffton, IN, Daughter – Rita (Husband Ron) Journay, Decatur, IN, Daughter – Cynthia “Cindy” (Husband Dick) Garringer, Ridgeville, IN, Brother – Robert Fields, St. Louis Park, MN, Brother – David Fields, Gaston, IN, Grandchildren, Jennifer (Aspy) Swanson, Melissa (Aspy) Barlow, Todd Aspy, Kevin Grover, J.W. Aspy, Scott Aspy, Roy Aspy, Brandon Journay, Stephanie (Journay) Rice, Christine Journay, Richard Garringer, Samantha (Garringer) Daniels,Travis Garringer, Kyle Garringer and many Great Grandchildren.

 

She was preceded in death by her Husband – Fredrick Wayne Aspy, Father – Richard Leroy Fields, Mother – Jessie Nema (Runyon) Fields, Brother-Richard Fields and Grandson-Ron Aspy.

 

Family and friends may gather to share and remember at Downing & Glancy Funeral Home 100 N Washington Street Geneva on Thursday, September 6, 2018 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM.

 

A service to celebrate Jean’s life will be at Downing & Glancy Funeral Home 100 N Washington St. Geneva at 10:00 AM on Friday, September 7, 2018. Burial will follow in the Riverside Cemetery outside of Geneva.

 

In Lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made to Riverside Cemetery Association. Arrangements are being handled by Downing & Glancy Funeral Home in Geneva, IN.
