Nora H. Ellis, 83, Marion, passed away in her home at 3:00 pm on Thursday, February 1, 2024. She was born in Huntsville, Tennessee, on Friday, September 20, 1940, to Odas and Hattie Pearl (Lay) Phillips.
She worked at Riverbend Nursing as a laundry attendant. She loved spending time with family and joking with people.
Survivors include her daughter, Malinda (Mark) Wampner of Sharps Chapel, TN; grandson, Shane E. Curtis; great-grandsons, Shane Z. Curtis, Jake Curtis, Dylan Curtis; and sister, Colvinia Chambers.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Odas and Hattie Pearl Phillips; husband, Robert E. Ellis; daughter, Teresa A. Curtis; sisters, Wanda Bowling, Mary Ellis, Lorraine Foster, Lydia Overton, Diana Norris; and brother, Charles Phillips.
The family will receive visitors from 11:30 am to 1:00 pm on Thursday, February 8, 2024, at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral & Cremation Service, North Chapel, 1341 N. Baldwin Ave., Marion, IN.
Immediately following the time of visitation, a service to celebrate Nora’s life will begin at 1:00 pm. Burial will take place at Gardens of Memory – Marion.
