Nellie (Bolden) Kessler, 83, of Wabash, Indiana, died at 2:04 pm, Friday, September 2, 2022, at Wellbrooke of Wabash. She was born on March 10, 1939, in Paintsville, Kentucky, to Arnold Bolden and Sarah (Reed) Bolden Wells.
Nellie married Donald Kessler at Autumn Ridge Rehabilitation Center on May 10, 2017; he died March 5, 2021. She worked for General Tire, Wagner’s, and Vernon Manor all of Wabash. She was a member of the Christian Heritage Church in Wabash.
She is survived by her son Johnny Wayne Dawson of Kentucky; two grandsons, Jessie and Johnny Dawson; her brothers and sisters, Junior (Gracie) Bolden, Lee Millican, Fay (Rubin) McCoy, and Thelma Dewey, all of Wabash, and Danny Wells of Paintsville. She was also preceded in death by her parents; infant daughter Delores Dawson; three brothers, Donald, Clinton, and Millard Bolden; and her sister, Connie Ann Bolden.
Funeral services will be 10:30 am, Tuesday, September 6, 2022, at Grandstaff-Hentgen Funeral Service, 1241 Manchester Avenue, Wabash, with Russell Reahard officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Lawns Cemetery, Wabash. Visitation is 9:30-10:30 am Tuesday at the funeral home.
