WABASH,Indiana – Miller Home Furnishings held a ribbon cutting ceremony on Friday morning to celebrate the grand re-opening of the store, which now features more La-Z-Boy products than ever before. Miller Home Furnishings has added over 30 new La-Z-Boy pieces to their showroom, mainly in the company’s Comfort Studio line, and redesigned the La-Z-Boy section of the store to over 5,000 sq feet to accommodate the new inventory. That 5,000 sq feet is almost half of the total floorspace of the entire store.

Also new is the addition of a bedding area with a privacy wall so that potential buyers don’t feel uncomfortable trying out the selection of Sealy Posturepedic mattresses. More fabric swatches are on hand as well, and now customers can see and feel color and texture of the wind-ranging upholstery options.

Many of the employees at Miller Home Furnishings have worked at the store years. Loretta Cornwell has been in sales at the store for two decades and she told MiBash News that the retailer has many loyal customers who feel more comfortable buying from someone they know.

In celebration of the grand re-opening event, Miller Home Furnishings is giving away a free La-Z-Boy recliner. During this week, visitors to the store can enter the drawing with no purchase necessary. The winner will be named on May 7th. Sales Associate Jamie Dillard also mentioned that the store is working on a brand new website which promises customers a complete shopping experience.

At the ribbon cutting on Friday morning, members of the Wabash Chamber of Commerce joined employees to official reopen the store and owner Steve Wampner told those in attendance that he desires to give Wabash the same selection of home furnishings usually only found in larger communities. Miller Furniture, a staple in Wabash for 60-years, became Miller Home Furnishings in November of 2014 when Wampner, who had been a local customer for decades, bought the business.
