Michael William Learned, 69, of Wabash, Indiana, died at 12:05 pm, Wednesday, February 7, 2024, at The Waters of Wabash East. He was born on July 18, 1954, in Noblesville, Indiana, to William Robert and Bonnie (Kelly) Learned.
Mike married Peggy June McCord in Wabash on July 9, 1977; she died August 9, 2016. He retired from the Indiana National Guard after 20 years, and also worked at Cyclone Manufacturing in Urbana. Mike enjoyed playing Bingo and pull tabs, and loved his grandchildren.
He is survived by two children, Michael Learned, Jr. and Chasity Learned; five grandchildren, Nickie Learned, Nora Sammons, Andrew Leach Jr., Miah Leach, and Dallas Learned, great-granddaughter, Aubrey Moore, brothers and sisters, Bob Learned, Noel Learned, Larry Learned, Christine Shrock, Anita Davidson, and Tracey Leach, all of Wabash. He was also preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and one sister.
Funeral services will be 10:30 am Monday, February 12, 2024 at Grandstaff-Hentgen Funeral Service, 1241 Manchester Avenue, Wabash, with Rev. Nathan Whybrew officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Lawns Cemetery, Wabash. Friends may call 9:30-10:30 am Monday at the funeral home.
