Michael H. Bevans, age 67 of Marion, passed away unexpectedly Sunday, August 21, 2022 in his home.
Michael was born on October 9, 1954 in Batesville, Arkansas, the son of the late Harold and Frances (Keeling) Bevans.
Michael married Cecilia Williams on June 14, 1975, and she survives. He earned his Bachelor’s degree at Indiana Wesleyan University and was a registered nurse at the Marion VA Hospital. He enjoyed boating, camping, and traveling especially to Cancun, Mexico. He loved hanging out with his family, his friends and his grandchildren. Michael loved to cook and have everyone over. He also enjoyed going to the car races with his brother, Dan. Michael always made people laugh.
He is survived by his wife, Cecilia Bevans of Marion; two sons, Andrew (Kacie) Bevans of Marion and Steven (Kelly) Bevans of Lafayette; a daughter, Trista Stiles of Greenville, N. Carolina; a brother, Dan Bevans of Elkhart; a sister, Deb Collins of Kokomo; six grandchildren, Mason Stiles, Zachary Stiles, Gabriel Stiles, Kathryn Bevans, Benjamin Bevans, and Jethro Bevans; several nieces and nephews; and his dogs, Loki and Chooie.
A Celebration of Life Visitation will take place from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 25, 2022 at Raven-Choate Funeral Home, 1202 W. Kem Road, Marion, Indiana.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Marion-Grant County Humane Society, 505 S. Miller Avenue, Marion, Indiana 46953.
