Melvin “Lee” Voland, 52, passed away at his home in Gas City, on October 2, 2018. He was born in Marion, Indiana on November 4, 1965 to the late Melvin Harvey and Rosalee (Simmons) Voland.
Lee was a graduate of Mississinewa High School. He was a factory worker at the former RCA for many years and worked at different places after RCA closed. Lee loved cars, antique furniture, true crime stories and cats.
Lee is survived by his daughter, Alivia Rosalee Voland, Gas City; Brother, Kevin (Etta) Voland, Tipton; Sisters, Debra (Tim) Himes, Marion; Diana (Charlie) Kindle, Gas City; and Sherri (Michael) Dawson, Cicero.
The funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm on Friday, October 12, 2018 at Owen-Weilert-Duncan Funeral Home Gas City Chapel, 200 North 7th Street, Gas City, Indiana. Visitation will be held on Friday, October 12, 2018 in the funeral home from 12 noon to 1:00 pm.
Burial will immediately follow at the Riverside Cemetery, Gas City, Indiana. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family to assist with funeral expenses.
