MIAMI COUNTY, Ind. – The Miami County Economic Development Authority has partnered with a regional economic group to begin creating an educational video on careers in manufacturing to try and attract young students to the regionally job-abundant field. MCEDA hopes the four to six minute video will shed some light on the attractiveness of a life in manufacturing, and dispel the age-old rumors about manufacturing jobs. The video would also serve the purpose of informing students about the required continuing education and certification needed to get a job in manufacturing. MCEDA plans on providing the video to every school in the county, and marketing the informational clip on social media and websites. The partnership heading up the effort is the regional economic group consisting of Fulton, Cass, Miami, Howard, Tipton and Clinton counties. Entertainment marketing company Associated Images will highlight one or two industries in each of the six counties.
