Macy-Allen Township Volunteer Fire Department Respond to House Fire in Macy

MACY, Ind. – On Monday, at approximately 10:30AM, the Macy-Allen Township Volunteer Fire Department was called to a house fire at 14388 N. 100 W. in Macy. Flames were shooting through the roof of the dwelling, according to Assistant Chief Russell Oberg. Fortunately, the family of six was already out of the home. Soon after, the MAVFD received a full assist from both the Denver Volunteer Fire Department and the Akron-Henry Township Fire Department. Fulton County EMS was also on standby. The cause of the fire is still under investigation. By late Monday afternoon C.C.’s Closet in Peru and the Macy Food Pantry had helped with some items, but the family is still in need of items lost in the fire.
