Matthew Earl Stephenson, 37, Marion, passed away at 6:04 pm on Sunday, February 26, 2023, in his home. He was born in Marion, Indiana, on Saturday, April 13, 1985, to Webb Stephenson and Cindy (Allwine) Bullard.
Matthew graduated from Marion High School in 2003 and was employed at Café Valley Bakery. Matthew’s family has many fond memories of him, and he will be missed. He loved his grandma very much and enjoyed animals. He was a funny guy who often showed his affection by picking on his loved ones. He had a great smile as well. He and his aunt always enjoyed dressing up and going trick or treating.
Survivors include his father, Webb (Donna Gaul) Stephenson of Marion; mother, Cindy Bullard; grandmother, Evelyn Stover of Swayzee; sister, Jessica Tierney of Bluffton; brother, Aaron Downing; aunts, Holly Weaver, Lilly (Alan) Tipton, and Debbie Enyeart; uncles, Tim (Debbie) Enyeart; and many cousins.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Richard Earl Stephenson, and three uncles, Steve Enyeart, Mark Enyeart, and Nathan Paul Stephenson.
The family will receive visitors from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm on Friday, March 3, 2023, at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral & Cremation Service, North Chapel, 1341 N. Baldwin Ave., Marion, IN.
Immediately following the time of visitation, a service to celebrate Matthew’s life will begin at 1:00 pm with Rev. Dr. Tom Mansbarger officiating.
