Mary (Parker) Stamper

It is with great sadness that the family of Mary (Parker) Stamper announces her passing on Saturday, October 13, 2018 at the age of 78. She was born on May 1, 1940 in Morehead, Kentucky to Lucy and Allie Parker, who preceded her in death.

Mary was a retired chief master sergeant at Grissom Air Reserve Base and civil service of over 25 years. After that, she donated her time as a volunteer at Dukes Memorial Hospital. Mary was also employed at the Peru Tribune for several years.

Mary will be lovingly remembered by her two sons and daughter-in-law, Doug (Heather) of Peru, and Danny of Florida. She will also be fondly missed by her five grandchildren: Jacob, Grayson, and Brayden Stamper (Peru), Jacob Workman (Bunker Hill), and Brandi Page (Florida.) Mary also had three great-grandchildren: Jamyra, Janiyah, and Prince all of Florida.

Visitation will be held from 1pm – 5pm on Saturday, October 20, 2018 at Flowers-Leedy Funeral Home, 105 West Third Street, Peru, Indiana. Funeral service will follow at 5pm, with Pastor Jim Rairigh officiating. Military service will be provided by the Miami County Military Rites Team. Love offerings may be made through the funeral home.
