Mary J. Wilkey

Mary J. Wilkey, 71, of Marion, IN, passed away at 9:39 PM on Tuesday, October 16, 2018 at her residence in Marion, IN.  She was born on Monday, November 11, 1946, in Heber Springs, AR.  She married James William Wilkey on Friday, November 10, 1972 in Marion, IN.  Mary was a graduate of Marion High School. She was a member of the Jalapa Road Freewill Baptist church in Marion, IN. She attended Marion Beauty College and was a beautician in Marion. Mary had resided in Interlachen FL. for 18 years where she drove a school bus for Putnam Co. district schools. She had also worked at Tulox Plastics in Marion, IN. She was a member of the Fraternal order of the Eagles where she was 2 times Past President of the Auxillary in Marion, IN. Mary enjoyed bowling and shopping.

Rude, Marion, IN, Daughter – Lucretia Ann Sparks, Matthews, IN, Step Son – Fredrick Joseph (Kathy) Wilkey, Spaulding, MI, Step Son – David Anthony (Margaret) Wilkey, Elkhart, IN, Step Son – Kenneth Bryan (Renee) Wilkey, Wilson, MI, Step Daughter – Elizabeth Ann (Mark) Gudwer, Hermansville, MI, Step Daughter – Cynthia (Rick) Kennedy, Spaulding, MI, Sister – Tresa (Gary) Baker, Marion, IN, Sister – Winnie (Austin) Kaylor, Romance, AR, Brother – John (Jane) Turney, Jacksonville, FL, Sister – Shirley (Dan) Loftis, Marion, IN, 19 Grandchildren, 32  Great Grandchildren, and 2 Great Great Grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her Father – Robert Hershel Turney, Mother – Tresa Willie (Ernest) Turney, Brother – Jack Turney, and 4 Grandchildren.

Family and friends may gather to share and remember at the Eagles Lodge 933 S. Washington St. Marion on Tuesday, October 23, 2018 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM.

A service to celebrate Mary’s life will follow at the Eagles Lodge at 5:00 PM on Tuesday, October 23, 2018 with Rev. Bill Bowling officiating.
