Mary was born in Marion on July 9, 1944 to the late Ralph and Elanor (Hamblin) Yeakle. She passed away in Twin City Health Care, Gas City, Indiana, on July 29, 2018.
Mary was a graduate of Marion High School and later she was a homemaker and mother to her four children. She loved her family and cooking for them. Mary was a avid Chicago Cubs fan and enjoyed anything outdoors including fishing. She attended Sunnycrest Baptist Church.
Mary is survived by her husband of 28 years, Jerry Brock, Gas City; children, Troy (Jayne) Zabst, Gas City; Phillip (Kim) Zabst, Gas City; Jennifer (Branden) Ulerick, Peru. brother, Don (Adel) Yeakle, Jonesboro; seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Mary is preceded in death by her first husband, Edward Zabst; son, James Zabst; brother, Merill Yeakle and sister, Helen Patton.
Visitation will held on Thursday, August 2, 2018, at 11am-1pm in the Owen-Weilert-Duncan Funeral Home, Marion Chapel, 2722 South Washington Street, Marion.
The funeral will begin at 1pm Thursday in the funeral home with Pastor Michael Fuqua
officiating.
Burial will immediately following in Estates of Serenity Cemetery, Marion.
