Mark Jay Holloway

Mark Jay Holloway, 55, Swayzee, passed away on Sunday, December 2, 2018, at IU Medical Center in Indianapolis.  He was born in Marion on December 8, 1962, to J. Will and Mary Ann (Stephens) Holloway.

Mark graduated from Oak Hill High School in 1981.  In his younger years, he worked at Tepe’s Merchandise Store.  He was then employed as a box maker at Bell Fibre and Welch Packaging.  Mark was deep in his faith and enjoyed donating to In Touch Ministries.  He enjoyed hunting and firearms and was a member of the Swayzee Masonic Lodge.

He is survived by his mother, Mary Ann Holloway, Herbst; son, Jon (Amanda) Rudy, Sweetser; grandchildren, Jaxon and Abigail; brothers, T.J. Holloway, Kevin Holloway, Calvin (Amy) Holloway, Matthew (Lisa) Holloway, and John Holloway; sister, Joan (Neal) Swain, OR; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, J. Will Holloway, and his grandparents, Hermon (Orpha) Holloway and Carlos (Ruth) Stephens.

The family will receive visitors from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. with Mark’s funeral service beginning at 11 a.m. on Friday, December 7, 2018, at Integrity Funeral Care, 2901 S. Washington St., Marion, IN.  Burial will follow at Thrailkill Cemetery in Swayzee.
