Marjorie Anne Mohler

Marjorie Anne Mohler, 93, Marion, passed away at 10:06 pm on Saturday, November 11, 2023, at Marion Health. She was born on December 27, 1929, to the late Kenneth A. and Nida Jane (Kile) Wilson.  She married Herbert W. Mohler on December 28, 1947, and he survives.

Marjorie assisted her husband in pastoral ministry and for approximately twenty years served with him in the office of The Indiana North District of The Wesleyan Church, retiring in 1997.  She was a member of Lancaster Wesleyan Church.

Marjorie was a very talented seamstress, and she loved all things to do with lighthouses. She was also an amazing baker and loved her plants. She nurtured them with a definite green thumb.

Survivors include her husband of 75 years; two sons, James (Judith) of Mint Hill, NC and John (Cynthia) of Carmel; one daughter, Joanna (Micah) Beals of rural Warren; one sister, Elaine Dillon of rural Kokomo; five grandchildren, Jeffrey (Lisa) Mohler of Carmel, Stephanie (Brandon) Lucas of Matthews, NC, Bethany (Sam) Johns of Marion, Amanda (Ricky) Cleary of Lizton, and Jennifer (Adam) Sharrard of Fishers; and seven great-grandchildren, Lydia and Owen Mohler, Jillian and Audrey Lucas, Claire Cleary, Eleanor and Jackson Sharrard.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Joseph; and one sister, Irma Jean Ellis.

The family will receive visitors from 11:00 am to 12:00 noon on Monday, November 20, 2023, at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral & Cremation Service, North Chapel, 1341 N. Baldwin Ave., Marion, IN.

Immediately following the time of visitation, a service to celebrate Marjorie’s life will begin at 12:00 noon with Jeff Mohler, grandson and President/CEO of Special Olympics of Indiana, officiating.  Burial will take place at Gardens of Memory in Marion with Pastor Ron Forsythe presiding.
