Marcia J. Newell, 70, of Marion, passed away on Wednesday, August 31, 2022, in her home. She was born in Marion, Indiana, on December 15, 1951, to William and Wanda (Rice) Eads.
Marcia graduated from Marion High School. She worked in the laundry department for several years at Riverbend. Marcia loved going for walks, especially walking through the park.
The family would like to thank Progressive Cancer Center, Cancer Services of Grant County, and Stillwater Hospice nurses and staff for their love and care.
Survivors include her partner, Noah Timmons; sons, Derrick Newell of Marion and Todd (Lilly) Newell of Marion; grandson, Dalton (Alexis) Davis; brother, Arnold (Sandra) Eads of Jonesboro; sisters, Brenda (Glenn) Smith of Pigeon Forge, TN, and Janice (Donnie) Stodghill of Blanchester, OH; and special niece, Angel Hellwig of Marion.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Patricia Ann Barnett.
At Marcia’s request, there will be no public visitation or funeral service. A private family celebration will take place.
