LuAnn Hostetler

LuAnn Hostetler, 63, Wabash, Indiana died at 12:10 a.m. Monday, December 10, 2018 at Visiting Nurse & Hospice Home, Fort Wayne, Indiana.  LuAnn was born at Canton, Ohio on December 28, 1954 to Warren Eugene & Gladys (Doerschuk) Pickens.  Her parents preceded her in death.  On December 14, 1974 she married Bruce Hostetler.  He survives.  Also surviving to carry LuAnn’s memory are their three daughters; Janell (Nathan) Dockter, North Manchester, IN; Stefanie (Joseph) Brown, LaFontaine, IN; Kari (Doug) Davenriner, Warren, IN and 11 grandchildren.  Also surviving are three sisters, Cinda (David) Horst, Sterling, OH; Geneen (Kurt) Whitcher, Hinckley, OH; Beth (Stephen) Weingart, North Canton, OH.  From her caring nature LuAnn became a nurse and worked at Timbercrest Senior Living Community and Manchester Clinic, both at North Manchester, IN.  Retiring from nursing in 1997, she became a co-director of independent living at White’s Residential & Family Services, Wabash, IN.  LuAnn was a member of Faith Harvest Fellowship, Wabash, IN.  Her faith has always been unshakeable, her love for others is like no other, and she was the perfect example of the hands and feet of Jesus. LuAnn’s heart was filled with love and she continued to praise her Savior even when her body was full of pain.  Her home had an open door and she and Bruce fostered over 70 kids over the years.  Simply put, LuAnn loved helping others.The legacy she left us, is a blessing to others.  Services will be held Friday, December 14, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at Faith Harvest Fellowship, 1717 N. Wabash Street, Wabash, IN.  Pastor Kurt Stout will officiate.  Friends and family may call at the church on Thursday, December 13, 2018 from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m.  Additional visitation will be held on Saturday, December 15, 2018 from 12:00 – 2:00 p.m. at the East Chippewa Church of the Brethren, 7207 Chippewa Road, Orrville, Ohio.  A graveside service and burial will be at 2:00 p.m. in the East Chippewa Church of the Brethren Cemetery.   The Hostetler family has entrusted the McKee Mortuary, 1401 State Road 114 West, North Manchester, IN with the final arrangements.  For those who wish to honor the memory of LuAnn Hostetler, memorial contributions may be made to Faith Harvest Fellowship, 1717 N.
