Visitation will be from 3 – 5 p.m. Tuesday, December 18, 2018 at Bailey-Love Mortuary, 35 West Park Drive, Huntington, Indiana. Funeral services will immediately follow at 5 p.m. Tuesday at Bailey-Love Mortuary with Rev. Dr. Marti Lundy officiating.

Jaryl was born on January 7, 1939 in Huntington, the son of John W. and Janice V. (Brown) Grimes. He graduated from Huntington High School in 1957 and married Karen K. Osburn on October 20, 1965 at Evangelical United Methodist Church in Huntington. He worked as a brakeman for the Erie Lackawanna Railroad for over 25 years and as a dispatcher for the Huntington County Sheriff’s Department for over 16 years. He loved golfing, bowling, and playing cards.
Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Karen K. Grimes of Huntington, sons John A. Grimes of Bloomington and Christopher (Heidi) Grimes of Huntington, daughters Sally (Gary) Keyser of Huntington and Dawn M. Honeycutt of Sarasota, Florida, sisters Judy (Fred) Millner and Janifer K. Hadley, both of Huntington, and three grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, brothers Jimmy D. Grimes and John A. Grimes, and a grandson, Jacob Vonesh.
