Loretta F. Walker Kelly Griffin November 23, 1924 ~ May 16, 2016
Loretta F. Walker Kelly Griffin, 91, Marion, died at 9:27 a.m. on Monday, May 16, 2016, at Century Villa Healthcare Center, Greentown. She was born in Marion to the late Johnny L. and Margaret (Spencer) Walker. She married Hubert Griffin, and he preceded her in death on April 7, 1992.
Loretta lived at Hilltop Towers for six years and retired from RCA in 1981. She previously worked at General Tire and the Shoe Factory. She was a life member of the Marion Moose Lodge, a member of the American Legion Post 10 Ladies Auxiliary, and the RCA and GM Sympathy Club.
Loretta enjoyed playing Bingo and cards, with Texas Hold ‘em being a favorite. She also enjoyed bowling and bowled for many different leagues. Loretta loved to follow the bands that her son, Tom, played in, and she was an avid Indianapolis Colts fan.
Survivors include her daughter, Karen (Richard Stevens) Korporal, Marion; sons, Gary (Betty) Kelly, New Concord, KY, and Tom (Jeri) Kelly, Silver Lake, IN; sister-in-law, Estella Walker; grandchildren, Jodi (Jeff) Gotschall, Shannon Creech, Nikki (Dickie) Mullenix, David Kelly, and Tyler Kelly; 7 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; and 2 nieces and 4 nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, Loretta was preceded in death by her brothers, Richard Walker, Weldon Walker, and Allen Dwight Walker.
The family will receive visitors from 4-7 p.m. on Wednesday, May 18, 2016, at Integrity Funeral Care, 2901 S. Washington St, Marion, IN.
A funeral service for Loretta will be held at 11:30 a.m. at the funeral home on Thursday, May 19, 2016, with Pastor Steve Colter officiating. Burial will follow at Van Buren Cemetery.
