Linda Mae Gibson, 76, Sims, was welcomed into Heaven at 2:05 p.m. on Monday, June 4, 2018, at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis. She was born on February 16, 1942, and was the daughter of Everett Gibson and Mabel (Guerrin) Scheidt.
Linda was a graduate of Swayzee High School and was a homemaker throughout her life. She loved to cook, spend time with her family, especially at the lake house, as well as attend the sporting events of her grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
She is survived by her daughter, Angie (Tim) Sieg, Kansas City, Missouri; son, Anthony (Lindy) Gibson, Swayzee; 11 grandchildren, Lindsey (Dustin) Deisher, Marianna Gibson, Blake Gibson, Cornelio Gibson, Brody Gibson, Jorge Gibson, Caylee Hunt, Jazmine Gibson, Bryce Gibson, Yolanda Gibson, and Jaden Hunt; three sisters, Patricia Jackson, Betty Shively, and Elaine Call; two brothers, Dale Scheidt and Denny Scheidt; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her brothers, Dick Gibson, Bob Gibson, Jack Gibson, and Tom Scheidt; and step-father, Leonard Scheidt.
The family will receive visitors from 11 a.m. to 12 noon with Linda’s funeral service beginning at 12 noon on Friday, June 8, 2018, at Integrity Funeral Care, 2901 S. Washington St., Marion, IN. Pastor Ben Schlegel will be officiating with burial following at Grant Memorial Park.
