Lela D. Stanton, 88, of Hartford City, IN, passed away at 9:00 AM on Saturday, June 09, 2018 at Bluffton Regional Medical Center in Bluffton, IN. She was born on Wednesday, February 26, 1930, in Mace, IN. She married Elvin Stanton on Saturday, August 19, 1950 in Scottsburg, IN. Lela attended Helmsburg High School in Brown Co. In. She was a member of the Separate Baptist church. She was a homemaker and had also cooked for Southern Wells Schools. She enjoyed crocheting, gardening, cooking and crossword puzzles.Lela had dedicated her life to her family. She was affilliated with the Busy Bees Homemakers Club and a former resident in Nottingham Twp. Wells Co.

She was preceded in death by her Father – Ralph Ramsey, Mother – Edna (Dailey) Ramsey, Twin Sister – Lillian Brown, her Brother – Robert Ramsey, and Great Grandson- Tristan Stanton.
Family and friends may gather to share and remember at Walker & Glancy Funeral Home 109 W Windsor St Montpelier on Tuesday, June 12, 2018 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM.
A service to celebrate her life will be at Walker & Glancy Funeral Home 109 W Windsor St Montpelier at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, June 13, 2018 with Rev. Billy Stanton officiating. Interment will follow in the Woodlawn Cemetery in Montpelier.
