LaVonna “Sue” Borders

LaVonna “Sue” Borders, 66, Gas City, passed away at home at 1:53 am on Friday, September 2, 2022. She was born in Marion, Indiana, on Tuesday, February 21, 1956, to Jack and Georgianna (Pearson) Hall.  On December 1, 1979, she married Timothy Borders, and he survives.  

Sue graduated from Mississinewa High School and worked there as a School Bus Driver for 28 years. She was the Vice President of We Care and had worked many years in the Mill Twp. Trustees Office. She loved to show dogs and enjoyed camping. Her family and grand babies were the most important things in the world to her.   

Survivors include her mother, Georgianna Pearson; husband, Timothy Borders of Gas City; son, Jack Borders; daughter, Amber (Rob) Davis of Gas City; granddaughters, Sydnie Bishop and Adelaide Davis; sister, Jackie (Terry) Coleman; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father, Jack Hall.

The family will receive visitors from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Thursday, September 8, 2022, at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral Service, Storey Chapel 400 E. Main St., Gas City, In. 

A funeral service to celebrate Sue’s life will be held at 9:30 am on Friday, September 9, 2022.  Burial will take place at Marion National Cemetery.
