Larry W. Kinman, 78, Jonesboro, passed away at 6:00 pm on Saturday, October 1, 2022, at Parkview Hospital Randallia in Fort Wayne. He was born in Madison, Indiana, on Tuesday, October 26, 1943, to Roy and Hazel (Oatman) Kinman.   

Larry attended Madison Schools. He worked as a laborer for many years with Essex Wire and General Cable. He was a member of Seventh Day Adventist Church. He enjoyed dressing up as “Mu-lee”, a Smile Seekers Clown, to cheer up the residents of local nursing homes. He was also in the Civil Defense in Gas City for many years.  He enjoyed fishing, and listening to blue grass and southern gospel music. 

Survivors include his daughters, Dian Kinman, Joette Henderson; son, Roger Kinman; grandson, Albert “AJ” (Amber) Henderson, Jr.; granddaughter, Kassidy Henderson; great-granddaughter, RaeLynn Henderson; and one great-grandchild on the way; brothers, Doug (Rita) Kinman, Donnie Kinman; sisters, Juanita, Tootsie, Geraldine, and Lana “Jo”; brother-in-law, Tom Brown; sister-in-law, Barb Brown; several nieces and nephews; and many that loved him who called him “dad” or “grandpa”.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Dixie Kinman; sisters, Shirley and Genie; father and mother-in-law, James and Edna Brown; sisters-in-law, Mary Kinman and Linda Brown; brother-in-law, James Brown.

The family will receive visitors from 1:00-3:00 pm on Monday, October 10, 2022 at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral Service, Storey Chapel, 400 E Main St, Gas City, IN.

Immediately following the time of visitation, a service to celebrate Larry’s life will begin at 3:00pm with Pastor Michel Bayson officiating.
