Kim P. Stevens, 76, of Marion, passed away at 7:11 pm on Tuesday, November 28, 2023, at Colonial Oaks Health & Rehabilitation Center in Marion. She was born in Sadec, Vietnam, on Friday, September 12, 1947.
Kim came to the United States at the age of 19 after meeting the love of her life, who happened to be a United States Army Sgt. and was serving in Vietnam. Kim and Hank married on August 22, 1966, and they shared 35 years of marriage. Kim enjoyed playing Bingo, crocheting, and traveling, especially to wineries.
Kim is survived by her daughters, Donna L. (Doug) Holt of Marion and Diane E. (James) Battcher of Marion; granddaughters, Krista (Nick) Chapel of Marion and Kari Roush of Van Buren; great-granddaughters, Maeson Chapel, Mari Chapel, and Mckensie Chapel; sister, Jennifer “Doan” (Mike) Welch of SC; brother, Duyen Tran of Vietnam; sister-in-law, Martha Stevens of Indianapolis; brother-in-law, Roger (Kathy) Stevens of Marion; several nieces, nephews, and friends; special niece, Teresa Genevie; and special great-niece, Alexis Genevie.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Harold “Hank” Stevens, Jr.; four sisters; and three brothers.
At Kim’s request, there will be no public visitation or funeral service.
