Kim A. Linton

Kim A. Linton, 68, lifelong resident of Marion, passed away in his home at 9:37 a.m. on Tuesday, June 19, 2018.  Born on October 15, 1949, to the late Jesse and Patty (Dakin) Linton, Kim married Donna Dille in 1999, and she survives.

Following his graduation from Eastbrook High School in 1967, Kim was drafted and served in the Army from 1969-1971 during the Korean War.  Following his military service, he was a heavy equipment operator with Sullivan’s Excavating.  He was an apprentice as a tool and die maker, as well as a master mechanic.  Kim retired after 35 years of service.

Kim enjoyed spending time on his property in Matthews, watching birds, being outdoors, and spending time with his beloved dog, Angie.  He also loved spending time with his family and helping them with anything they needed.  He will be dearly missed.

Survivors include his wife, Donna; son, Kim Matthew (Tricia) Linton, Muncie; daughter, Julie (Michael) Autry, Marion; granddaughter, Hannah Autry, Marion; siblings, Claudia (Ward) Britt, Indianapolis, Carolyn Slater, Matthews, Kris (Lori) Linton, Marion, Katrina (Myron) Spencer, Upland, and Cameron (Debbie) Linton, Mansfield, Ohio; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Kim was preceded in death by his sister, Connie.

In accordance with the family’s wishes, there will be private services.

Memorial contributions may be directed to Grant County Veteran’s Assistance Program, 401 S. Adams St., Marion, IN 46952.
