Kenneth “Ken” Wayne Bernard, 63, Swayzee, passed away on Tuesday, February 8, 2022. He was born in Cleveland, Ohio, on Thursday, November 13, 1958, to John Paul and Jane Ann (McGovern) Bernard. He married Bonnie Cupp on November 26, 1983, and she survives.
His family and faith were the most precious things in his life. He’s now with the Savior he loves. In recent years, the joy of his life was his granddaughter, Abby; they were truly inseparable. Words cannot express how much he will be missed.
Survivors include his wife, Bonnie Bernard; two daughters, Stacey (Weston) Hadler and Kellie Bernard (Jocelyn Mantz); granddaughter, Abby Hadler; two brothers, Keith (Donnita) Bernard and Kevin (Lorraine) Bernard; and mother, Jane Ann Bernard.
He was preceded in death by his father, John Paul Bernard, Jr.
The family will receive visitors from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm on Monday, February 14, 2022, at Liberty Baptist Church, 517 Church St., Sweetser, IN. Immediately following the time of visitation, a service to celebrate Ken’s life will begin at 2:00 pm. Burial will take place at Converse Cemetery.
