Kenneth Edward Welsh

Kenneth Edward Welsh, 94, of Peru, Indiana, died at 7:30 p.m., Sunday, July 7, 2019 at his home. He was born November 26, 1924 in Ladoga, Indiana to Marshall A. and Rose (Creed) Welsh.

Kenneth was a 1942 graduate of Marshall High School in Marshall, Indiana. He married Betty Jean Palmer in Franklin, Indiana on September 4, 1949; she died Ocotber 14, 2007. He was a World War II U.S. Army Air Corps veteran, and participated on the Honor Flight to Washington D.C.. He retired from Touloukian Supply and attended Zion Chapel Church, both in Peru. Kenneth enjoyed fishing, gardening, and taking care of his yard.

He is survived by two children, Rebecca Welsh of Wabash, Indiana, and Edward A. (Dee) Welsh of Fairfield, Ohio, five grandchildren, Daniel Maloy of Peru, Joel (Sarah) Maloy of Logansport, Indiana, Traci (Todd) Hummer and Angie (Bryan) Gilbert, both of Westchester, Ohio, and Tricia (Jason) Inderhees of Loveland, Ohio, eight great grandchildren, and a great great grandson. He was also preceded in death by his parents, daughter, Katherine Ehresman, five brothers, and seven sisters.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Thursday, July 11, 2019 at Grandstaff-Hentgen Funeral Service, 1241 Manchester Avenue, Wabash, with Pastor Rod Correll officiating. Burial will be in Falls Cemetery, Wabash. Friends may call 12:30-2:00 p.m. Thursday, at the funeral home.

Preferred memorial is Honor Flight.
