Kenneth E. Colbert, 79, Gas City, passed away at 8:21 am on Wednesday, December 14, 2022, at Colonial Oaks Health & Rehabilitation Center. He was born in Gas City, Indiana, on Saturday, March 6, 1943, to Kenneth and Doris (Simmons) Colbert.
Kenneth was a member of Eastview Wesleyan Church. He was a bus driver for Marion Community Schools before retiring from Mississinewa Community Schools. Whenever he was asked his age, he loved to tell people he was “19”. He enjoyed sitting on his porch, doing things around the house, and most of all, he loved to shop! Kenneth had a huge heart and will be missed by all who knew him.
Survivors include his special friends, Julie (Tim) Wilson and Brenda Helmuth; sister, Diana Caldwell; and daughters, Diane Dickerson and Angela Clevenger.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth L. and Doris M. Colbert.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, December 19, 2022 at Van Buren Cemetery with Pastor Mick Simpkins officiating.
