David Michael Worrell

David Michael Worrell, 69, Gas City, passed away in his home at 8:04 pm on Wednesday, December 14, 2022. He was born in Marion, Indiana, on Monday, October 19, 1953, to William and Mary (Baxter) Worrell.    

Dave graduated from Mississinewa High School and worked as a PM Crew Manager for 13 years with TLC Management, retiring in 2022. He loved going to B&B restaurant for breakfast, watching the biggest TV and reading the newspaper. He loved his mower and his truck, fishing, and NASCAR.  He enjoyed working on cars with his friend, Kris.  He loved his two cats, Abby and Lucy.  Most of all, Dave loved spending time with his kids and grandkids.

Survivors include his daughter, Courtney (Josh Mills) Worrell of Marion; son, Brandon (Breanna) Worrell of Marion; ex-wife and still good friend, Leisa Worrell of Gas City; brothers, Steve (Linda) Worrell of Fort Wayne, William “Jay” (Karen) Worrell of Marion; grandchildren, Ali Mills, Amelia Mills, and one on the way; several nieces and nephews; and life-long friend, Kris Mason of Marion.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William C. and Mary E. Worrell.

The family will receive visitors from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm on Monday, December 19, 2022, at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral Service, Storey Chapel 400 E. Main St., Gas City, Indiana.

Immediately following the time of visitation, a service to celebrate Dave’s life will begin at 1:00 pm with Pastors Ken Dykhoff and Noah Farmer officiating.  Burial will take place at Grant Memorial Park.
