Karen Sue Cole, age 66, of Marion, passed away on Monday morning, November 27, 2023, in her home.
Karen was born on January 14, 1957, in Charleston, West Virginia, the daughter of William Carl Fridley and Bonnie (Patterson) Fridley. She had worked for Franklin Electric and as a dietary manager at Riverbend Nursing Center.
Karen enjoyed going to the casino in Anderson and playing BINGO. She loved her grandbabies and was always joking around and playing Aggravation and Trouble.
She is survived by two sons, David (Cindy Johnson) and Stephen (Tammy) Cole, both of Marion; two brothers, Ronnie Fridley of Indianapolis, and Michael (Charlotte) Fridley of Gas City; two sisters, Sharon (Tony) Darrah of Marion, and Carla Poling of Marion; 7 grandchildren, Dillon Cole, Icelie Cole, Tracey Lester, Desiree Dobbs, Kaylnn Cox, William Pearson III, and Cadence Cole; and one great-grandchild on the way.
She was also preceded in death by a grandson, Blake Campbell.
Visitation will be held from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 30, 2023, at Raven Choate Robinson Funeral Home, 1202 W. Kem Road, Marion, Indiana. Funeral Services will begin at 6:00 p.m. with Pastor Tom Chattin officiating. Cremation will take place following funeral services.
The family has requested that memorial contributions to be made to the Epilepsy Foundation of Indiana, 1100 W. 42nd Street #140, Indianapolis, Indiana 46208.
