Julia B. Thomas

Julia B. Thomas, 44, of Marion, IN, passed away at 9:46 PM on Sunday, April 29, 2018 at Marion General Hospital in Marion, IN.  She was born on Tuesday, July 03, 1973, in Anderson, IN.  She married Brad D.  Thomas on Saturday, March 15, 1997 at the Madison Christian Church, Frankton, IN. Julia was a 1991 graduate of Frankton High School. She furthered her education at Ball State University where she received her Master’s Degree in Speech Pathology.  She was a member of the Hanfield United Methodist Church in Marion, IN. She enjoyed attending church activities and was in the Women’s Bible Study and also helped in the nursery. She marched in the marching band in high school, was a 10 year 4-H member in Madison Co., and was a 4-H Junior leader. Julia had formerly worked in Marion and Warsaw as a head start teacher, and was currently working in the Blackford County Schools as a Speech Language therapist. She enjoyed baking cookies, singing, reading, gardening, fishing, and above all spending time with her family.

Family and friends may gather to share and remember at Walker & Glancy Funeral Home 109 W Windsor St Montpelier on Thursday, May 03, 2018 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM.

 

A service to celebrate Julia’s life will be at Walker & Glancy Funeral Home at 11:00 AM on Friday, May 04, 2018 with Pastor Tim Helm officiating.  Interment will follow in the Brookside Memorial Park in Montpelier.

 

Preferred memorials:  To Ian & Luke’s College Education Fund
