Judith K. “Mimi” Emery, 79, LaFontaine, passed away at 12:30 pm on Thursday, January 26, 2023, at Rolling Meadows Health & Rehabilitation Center in LaFontaine. She was born in Parker, Pennsylvania, on Monday, April 5, 1943, to Delbert E. and Elizabeth J. (Gannoe) Emery.
Judith graduated from Marion High School and was a production worker for 34 years with Gen Corp, retiring in 2001. She liked to read, shop, and take care of her grandchildren. Judith will be missed dearly by all who knew her.
Survivors include her son, Eric E. (Rhiannon) Emery, Sr., of Marion; daughter, Jody J. Emery of Marion; grandchildren, Eric Emery, Jr., Devin Aguilar, Kayla Smith, Ryne Emery, Jaren Emery, Easton Emery, Ericah Emery, and Jalen Kennedy; great-grandchildren, Klio, Nellie, Zyair, Ivy, and expecting Kade and Chicago; best friends, Roxanne Kemp, Vicki Stevens, Joann (Phil) McGhee, Breanna, Jajuan Jones, Michaela Weaver, and Tanna Yeakle; and bonus daughter, Deanna Small-Yeakle.
She was preceded in death by her parents and dear friend, Katherine Weaver.
The family will receive visitors from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm on Thursday, February 2, 2023, at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral Service, North Chapel, 1341 N. Baldwin Ave., Marion, IN.
Immediately following the time of visitation, a service to celebrate Judith’s life will begin at 1:00 pm with Elder Weatherly officiating. Cremation and niche entombment will take place at Grant Memorial Park at a later date.
