Juanita Louise (Grim) Boucher

Juanita Louise (Grim) Boucher, 88, passed away at 6:45 pm on Saturday, October 28, 2023, at her home in Fairmount. She was born in Grant County, Indiana, on Sunday, October 6, 1935, to the late Frances and Minnie (Poe) Grim.  She married Gerald “Jerry” K. “Spoons” Boucher in 1951, and he preceded her in death in August of 2007.  They were married 56 years.  

Jerry and Juanita traveled to the capitols of 49 states.  She finished the last state to Alaska in August of 2012.  Juanita retired from RCA (Thomson Consumer Electronics) after 29 1/2 years.  She was a member of Grace Community Church, Smile Seekers Clowns (“Giggles”), and Sunshine Girls.

Juanita enjoyed playing games and all sorts of crafts.  The latest was scrapbooking.  She also enjoyed the vacations she took with her girls’ scrapbooking club to Branson (Missouri), Ohio, Michigan, Indianapolis, Fort Wayne, and Pennsylvania.

Survivors include her daughters, Connie Jo (Clarence) Nelson of Fairmount and Bonnie Jean (Milo) Nelson of Marion; 11 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and 19 great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; son, Gene Boucher; brother, Gerald Grim; and sister, Eva Metzger.

The family will receive visitors from 10:00 am to 11:00 am on Saturday, November 11, 2023, at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral & Cremation Service, North Chapel, 1341 N. Baldwin Ave., Marion, IN.

Immediately following visitation, a funeral service will begin at 11:00 am with Pastor Tom Mansbarger officiating.  Burial will take place at Grant Memorial Park.
