John “Mark” Allen Carter, 61, Marion, passed away on Tuesday, May 8, 2018, at Marion General Hospital. He was born in Anderson on January 8, 1957, to the late John and Jacqueline (Holler) Carter.
Following his service with the U.S. Army, Mark owned and operated his own roofing, landscaping, and tree service for several years. He enjoyed gardening, cooking, fishing, and his cats.
He is survived by his life partner, Becky Bielasz; sons, Jessie and John; sisters, Kathy (Mark) Lada, and Lori (Jay) Wolf; and brothers, Lonnie (Madeana) Carter and Charles (Darlene) Carter.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Jonathan, and a brother, Ronnie.
A memorial visitation will take place from 1 to 2 p.m. on Saturday, May 12, 2018, at Liberty Baptist Church, 517 Church St., Sweetser, IN.
Mark’s Celebration of Life service will begin at 2 p.m. with Pastor Terry Bishir officiating.
