John Anthony Bishop (Tony) was born on September 3rd, 1960 in Kokomo Indiana to John and Audrey Bishop. Tony passed away at his home in Peru Indiana on Sept 27, 2023.
Tony graduated from Houston High School in Houston Mo in 1979. He was a long-time resident of Ava Mo where he loved to hunt and fish. He worked for Hutchins Industries in Seymour Mo for several years before going back on the road as a truck driver. Tony never met a stranger; he loved traveling the country that’s were he met long time partner Peggy Kendall.
He loved spending time with his family and friends and especially loved aggravating his nieces and nephews. The last few years of his life were spent on the farm in Indiana where he loved spending time with the horses.
Tony was preceded in death by his father John Bishop, mother Audrey Fisher, bonus Dad Norman Mitchell, sister Kristi Davis and sister Kelly Morpeth also daughter Valerie Bishop. He is survived by his children son Gabe Bishop and daughter Jenifer Moritz, his sister Andrea Jean Turner of Springfield Mo, Sister Marlyn Rima of Laurel Delaware, brother Travis Mitchell and wife Dede of Springfield Mo, Sister Dawn Davis and husband David of Rogersville Mo and baby sister Niki Ledbetter and husband Brad of Pearland Tx. Several grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
An intimate gathering for Tony will be held in Peru Indiana where he will be laid to rest with the horses that he loved. In the near future a small gathering will be held in Ava Mo for his siblings to say goodbye.
