Jimmy Wayne DeBoard, 73, of Wabash, Indiana, died Tuesday, October 23, 2018 at his home. He was born August 22, 1945 in Garrett, Kentucky to Willard and Beatrice (Kilgore) DeBoard.
Wayne was a 1963 graduate of Prestonsburg Kentucky High School. He retired from Bell Fiber in Marion, Indiana. Wayne was an avid golfer, and loved playing all sports. He enjoyed watching football on television. Wayne was an avid fan of the Indianapolis Colts, Kentucky Wildcats, and Cincinnati Reds.
He is survived by five children, Melissa Loper of Muncie, Indiana, Dawn Miner and Rachael “Shelly” DeBoard, both of Warsaw, Indiana, Bryan DeBoard of Phoenix, Arizona, and Gretchen (Jim) Miracle of Bunker Hill, Indiana, 11 grandchildren, and one great-grandchild, brothers and sisters, Charlotte Rattliff of Mousie, Kentucky, Kenneth (Evelyn) DeBoard of Thelma, Kentucky, John (Eulagene) DeBoard and Glen (Shirley) DeBoard, both of Wabash, and Brenda (Mickey) Erdell of Lexington, Kentucky. He was preceded in death by his parents, and sister, Mildred Schonborn.
Friends may call from 5:00 – 7:00 pm, Friday, October 26, 2018 at Grandstaff-Hentgen Funeral Service, 1241 Manchester Ave, Wabash. Funeral services will be private.
